Formulas powered by cocoa flavonols.
CocoaVia™ is built on more than three decades of research into cocoa flavanols, led by Mars Incorporated and its health-focused division, Mars Edge. What began in the 1980s as an effort to understand how cocoa processing affects flavanol content evolved into pioneering research exploring how these compounds function in the body.
When it became clear that traditional chocolate manufacturing significantly reduces flavanol levels, Mars developed its proprietary CocoaPro® extraction method to preserve and concentrate these bioactive compounds.
CocoaVia™ uses a standardised cocoa extract - Cocoapro™ - sourced from carefully cultivated beans in Indonesia, supported by rigorous quality testing at every stage.
Backed by ongoing scientific collaboration and recognised by independent testing bodies, CocoaVia™ reflects a long-standing commitment to measurable quality, transparency, and continued innovation in cocoa-based nutrition. Yes, but only at very low levels. Cocoa can naturally contain cadmium, but CocoaVia’s Cocoapro™ extraction process is designed not to concentrate heavy metals. Independent testing has also found its cadmium levels to be lower than many commercially available cocoa products.
